Road trips can be boring or become positive memorable experiences with your family. The world is constantly changing and so are our kids, so it’s important to “stop and smell the roses” and learn to appreciate every journey. Traveling can be tough but, even more so, with young ones. Prevent hours of complaining in the car by having activities and games planned. Challenge yourself by putting the electronics away and taking advantage of this quality time. Be engaging with one another to help promote effective communication. Life is short so cherish every moment and enjoy the ride! We have compiled a list of some interactive games that the whole group can participate in.
Think of an item, movie, book, or anything and then each person in the family will take turns asking questions to guess what you are thinking of. Careful, you only get 20 questions!!
Identify an object in or outside of the car that starts with each letter of the alphabet. This game is challenging and will get your creative juices flowing!
I spy with my little eye… Kids can practice describing an object they see and drop hints while the rest of the crew guesses what that person is referring to.
Talk about using your imagination! What shapes can you see in the clouds? Great way to get the family laughing and fully engaged.
