Did Someone Say Vacay?
By Heather Jones
You know what time it is, don’t you? I know it feels like 2022 just started, because… it did. However, we all know that kids count down the days for their next break from school. Right now, they are waiting for, and hoping for, and wishing for…spring break!
Spring break is a time of relaxation for kiddos out of school. They can hang out with friends, enjoy quality time at home, or have more time for their extracurricular activities. Maybe this year you want to utilize this spring break to take a trip with your family, or maybe that’s what you always do. This year, it might be extra important to take a trip because we have had restrictions the last couple of years. If this trip is something you’ve been waiting for, and hoping for, and wishing for… here are some fun and unique trips to take with your family this year.
Lake Tahoe, Nevada
This is the ideal trip for families that love everything outdoors. Lake Tahoe is known to be one of the most highly regarded skiing spots in the country. They also have other opportunities to get out in the snow, such as snowboarding, snowmobiling, tubing, and even hiking trails. Not only that, but the scenery is breathtaking and the food is top notch with famous restaurants such as Hell’s Kitchen.
Branson, Missouri
Hmmm…. Branson, Missouri you’re wondering? Hey, this may not have been first on your spring break destination list… but it’s a very family friendly attraction. Between the various museums, amusement parks, entertainment shows, and dining options, you and your family will always be on the go here. Branson is also a more reserved and less rowdy area, making it ideal for families with young kids.
Broken Bow, Oklahoma
If you and your family are fans of camping (or should I say glamping), go get a cabin in Broken Bow and have some fun! This area is perfect for families to get together, rent cabins, and have the time of their lives. Families can boat on Broken Bow Lake, fish, hike, and explore all there is to do in this quaint but electic town.
